The Alexander Residence 1960 - William Krisel architect. Prolific Southern California developers and society patrons Robert Helene Alexander of the Alexander Construction Co. commissioned the spaceship-like dynamic winged home as there personal residence, a testament to engineering and daring avant-garde design that attracted Look Magazine in 1962 to declare it The House Of Tomorrow. 1967 the newlyweds Elvis and Priscilla Presley famously leased the house lending it the name The Elvis Honeymoon Hideaway Home. A provocative entry path ushers you into an interior sunken party pad flanked by angular stacked stoned walls, glass, and a low-slung curved upholstered banquet embracing a futuristic shaped fireplace hood and floating hearth.
